Came here from Downstate for a private event last week. and I thought the place was phenomenal. Friendly chill bartender who looked like Father John Misty, good drink specials, plenty of place to sit and talk and most importantly they were willing to let my friends host their annual "Rad" holiday party there! It was a great venue for such an event and went off without a hitch.
I'll definitely stop in for a pint next time I am in town.
One of the better bar's on Allen that is not overrun with BROS.
Mike was able to help me get a last minute welcome-party for my wedding/traveling guests. The food was absolutely amazing and the drinks were fantastic. His pianist was out of this world and really created an intimate setting for my wife, guests, and I. I would HIGHLY recommend going to Days Park Tavern for events, dinners, or just cocktails. I’ll be back without question
Stopped in on a whim with friends. We were treated with live music. & Great drinks. Everyone loved their food. I however, ordered the best damn sandwich I've ever eaten. Do yourself a favor and grab that beef brisket on weck with a side of gravy. Just beyond!!!!!!!
Stopped in to check out the new place! Hay Burner on tap and amazing tasting appetizers!! Roasted cauliflower with pepita pea pesto and smoked feta and lamb meatballs with chimimichurri, stewed tomatoes, and crispy fried onions
Wanted to check out this new restaurant with my friend and since he was from Nashville we both decide to get the hot chicken sandwich ($14). I really enjoyed it and got it with the standard side of Tavern chips with your house-made. he got he is with the Tavern fries for a $2 upcharge.
Having never tried it authentic Nashville hot chicken, I had no frame of reference so I really enjoy it. Had a bit of a kick to it, but the added coleslaw threw off the flavor profile a little bit for me. My friend felt that it was a "very good" chicken sandwich but didn’t quite take him back to his days in Nashville. He also got a side of mac & cheese which he really enjoyed.
We both got a house cocktail (both were $10 each) as our drink of choice for the evening. I got the Papa's Peach, which was a tequila-based cocktail and my buddy had the Boulevardier. both were well-made.
The overall atmosphere was not quite upscale and it felt a place I'd take my mom to, go out with friends for good meal, or possibly take an interview candidate to for lunch.
