Being a fan of Buffalo Wings and having eaten them at most places in my homestate of New Jersey, it only made sense to give Anchor Bar a shot on our way through Buffalo.

The setting of the place is very cool! Lots of memorabilia and pictures on the walls of celebrities who have eaten there. Rather spacious, as we only had to wait about five minutes to get a table.

The fried pickles as an appetizer was an excellent choice! Very tasty! 20 wings in medium sauce was the main course. The sauce itself was very flavorful and had a bit of heat to it. Not to overpowering, just enough kick to keep you coming back for more! However, I personally thought that the wings were a bit too crispy/overcooked. I found them to be tough and a little hard to chew. I wish they had been softer.

I'm still happy I can say that I ate at the Anchor Bar, and would encourage anyone else to give the place a try as well!

I have eaten pasta , it was terrible:( but the pizza was excellent... the waitress was very slowly and she didn’t gave us fork, she forgot the water:( so it was not a nice experience... but the place is nice...

Obviously the origin of Buffalo wings starts here. The wings are actually very good, but no longer the best in Buffalo (They probably were the best before there were any other wing bars). Surprisingly, the pizza was actually more uniquely good than even the wings. I'd put their pizza up against most, even La Nova's. Live Jazz/Blues on the weekend nights is also great.
