I enjoyed my time with my girls here - the vibe was cool and the manager and staff were very nice. They weren’t the best with timing out food and wait times, but we weren’t bothered. The food tasted fine. The main issue with Luxor is the overpriced entrees. Maybe the tomahawk steak and lobster prices make sense, but the other entrees didn’t. The salmon was 56. Salmon at Bacchus is $30, at Patina 250 it’s $28. The lamb chops are $84. They’re $42 at Bacchus. These are upscale places, with cloth napkins, elegant decor, etc. Luxor still looks like the college nightclub it used to be, just with some black and gold paint over it. I don’t want to tear them down, I just felt a little cheated and expected more. If there are restaurants that are fancier than yours with experienced and professional wait staff charging a lot less for similar menu items, that’s a problem.
