Really tasty restaurant! The food is classic southern cooking and very tasty. Waiters and waitresses were very attentive and provided everything we needed. The mint tea was some of the best mint tea I have ever had! Location is very modern with interesting decoration and machinery to look at while waiting for the food!
I was in a rush to grab some lunch and head to work. They gave me good service and the food was fantastic and I got a business card. I will return and dine in to have breakfast before Black Restaurant Week is over. I love how this establishment is ran and I love the scenery too. It's also very clean and there and that's a major turn on. The workers are friendly and the chef is a amazing cook with a great attitude. I'm raving about this place. Please go support this place and check it out when your dining out. Hope you'll love it just like I do. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars ???? is because of the hours. They close by 7pm during the week, and only opened 9am-1pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. Would prefer longer and more flexible hours. (But they got a life too right. ????????)????????????????
Tonight I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and collard greens. Unfortunately, I had some work that needed to be done this evening so I had to do take-out.
Dinner was very good. It's not often I find a place serving grits north of the Carolinas this good and this was a great dish to get me out of my "what's for dinner tonight" rut.
The restaurant is not in a strip mall or a location you would expect to find a place to eat, but trust your GPS, it will get you there.
I will definitely return, hopefully next time I can eat in.
Went with a group of friends and overall we all enjoyed our meals. I had the Fried chicken with red beans and rice which came with cornbread. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well. I really liked the spice combination on the skin. The beans and rice weren't magical, but where very good. As was the cornbread which had corn kernels in it. Never had it that way and Iike the little surprises when I got a kernel in a bite.
This restaurant is located in the Northland Workforce Training Center as their primary eatery and though it's housed there for the students/trainees it's open to the public and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Service was prompt and staff were very friendly too!
I stopped in on opening day and ordered a shrimp po boy with fries. Everything was delicious. The food came out fast, and the quality of the service was great. I'll be back for breakfast eventually!
