The Black Sheep Restaurant & Bar

Found this spot on our Airbnb host’s list of local places. Snagged two seats at the bar and spent a wonderful evening talking, trying different cocktails and menu offerings. Cocktails were delicious and had varying flavors. Fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese were amazing, fresh, and creative. Burger was perfectly done and delicious. The Brussel sprout Caesar salad with potato croutons was perfect (ask for extra croutons)!! Save room for the sticky toffee dessert...and order their Manhattan cocktail to go with it!! We’d go back without even thinking twice!

We try to eat here when we’re in Buffalo. On this visit, we had to carry-out and chose the vegetarian lasagna. It’s handmade pasta was a perfect texture and thickness. The veggies were varied and tasty. The dish’s sauces complemented each other as well as the pasta and the veggies. Basically, an outstanding dish. We had beets on the side. A terrific meal. In a place where meat is the centerpiece of the dining experience, the veggie lasagna stands out, too.

Food and service were awesome. My wife and I will definitely return to try more of the menu. The smoked pork chop, brussel sprouts, carrot and curry, and double burger were all tasty dishes. The place was busy but never too noisy to enjoy conversation.

I can't say enough positive things about this place. The bartender is amazing, she is very friendly and attentive, same with the rest of the staff.

The food is amazing and sooooo flavorful. The menu changes frequently which makes you want to return just to try something new.

Highly recommended, will return as often as possible.

The breakfast here changed my life. It exceeded expectations in both taste and presentation. The service was excellent. We called ahead and made a reservation. Between the pastries, the chicken, and the pulled pork hash, I will dream of this breakfast forever. It was so worth it!!
