Prices are high, unless you get the lunch special. Food is decent. I want to love it more but been a few times and it's just decent

Oh boy! This was good. First off, very original design and decor. Area has every chain you can dream of, but very few original homegrown places to eat. This place fills a void. Chicken, tots, mac and cheese were all excellent. Looking forward to returning to give the full FIVE.

It is what it states, a chicken shack. Blackboard menu behind the counter to order from. If you're looking to be pampered when dining, well this ain't your kind of place.

My wife and I ordered the $30 deal with additional adult beverages and headed upstairs to enjoy the view.

A very nice view with our picnic like dinner was wonderful. The tasty 8 piece chicken were too much for two and along with the delicious sides, collard greens, green beans and baked beans were enough for another meal.

Great biscuits and loved that you can request the level of spicy for the chicken. Great food and nice variety of beers. Great view from the patio too

Pros: Good fried Chicken, flavors, atmosphere

Cons: some sides lack luster and chicken sandwich falls short.

So there are things that are good here! And things that I wish would be better. The fried chicken is good, the spicy option has a real nice flavor. Some of the sides are good (spicy corn and southern green beans... Haven't tried all of them). The tater tots are crumbly and not crispy ☹️, and the Mac and cheese doesn't have much flavor ????. Probably an easy adjustment. The thing I wish they would redo is the lunchtime chicken sandwich...it was very disappointing. The sauce and pickles were very good on it ????. But it seemed like cheap small breaded chicken fingers. Ill admit my hopes were very high. I was hoping for a southern/pub style, crispy battered, Louisiana hot honey sauced, hot buttery roll kinda sandwich...like I said, high expectations, but they set themselves up to be a pub style chicken place. If they served something like that it would clinch their "on the map" place to eat with music and a view.
