We went there for my sisters birthday and it was amazing! Loved the sushi
Food was fresh and artfully displayed. Delicous!
Why such a low rating amongst so many decent reviews, you may be asking yourself. Let’s begin. Came in with my fiancé for a sushi dinner on a Saturday; we were one of 6 people there. Now 9PM on a Saturday in Orchard Park, I expected a few more patrons. Now while that does not affect my review, it already had me somewhat suspicious. The service was fast and friendly and we were seated immediately, as I would expect with 4 other people in the restaurant. We were seated right next to a speaker that was playing what I can only describe as “generic Japanese restaurant music” and loudly (which was turned off upon request). I ordered the sushi platter and my fiancé ordered the sashimi platter and a glass white wine. Let’s start with her sashimi and wine: the wine was a $6 glass of fragrant water that could’ve easily passed for bug repellant, unable to finish. The sashimi was cold - not room temperature, but C O L D. While this is ok if you’re getting sashimi at a local grocery, this is not fine at a SUSHI RESTAURANT. The tuna was bland and tasted like nothing. The yellowtail (maybe) had a flavor that was incredibly off putting and funky.
My sushi was generic and flavorless as well. The rice was C O L D (are you sensing the general theme yet?). The fish was C O L D. The spicy tuna was hard to get down and was very pasty.
Don’t get me wrong, we ate it. We didn’t complain and we didn’t want anything in return. We paid $45 for an overall really terrible meal. If you’re looking for a quick lunch, maybe check out Panera down the road. If you want a nice dinner, go anywhere else in the world. If you enjoy eating white bread and butter and have extra money for date night, Fuji might be your spot.
Very good sushi and cooked meals. Clean with courteous staff. We love this place!
This is a hidden gem in a crowded restraunt world. The sushi here is phenomenal and this establishment is a must visit for those who love the tasty little rolls. On top of the sushi, the other food options are very good. I personally love their beef options on top of the sushi and would recommend it if sushi is not your thing. Overall I think this is one of the best restaurants in the area.
