Capisce Coffee & Espresso Bar

If you’re in Lake Placid, Capisce is a must! Maria is incredibly sweet and has created an amazing space - in our short visit, it’s obvious that she’s respected & loved by the local community! Highly recommend the banana walnut bread, breakfast sandwich and iced americano!

Atmosphere and staff are amazing, make you feel like you’re part of the small town community! The owner Maria is super personable & accommodating. Plus they serve La Colombe coffee so you know it’s good ☕️

Can’t wait to go back and eat another sandwich!! I got mine vegetarian and it was perfect & huge. They let us get the meat on the side so that my mom could still enjoy & we both loved it. Everyone at the shop was so friendly & our coffees were clearly delicious as well! To top it off they have such a great collection of products from local artisans. I grabbed some coffee for a friend and a classic Adirondack read for myself on the way out. A perfect add to this community!

The coffee is excellent and so was the masala chai. Very cute quaint coffee spot. Also tried the breakfast egg sandwich. Quite filling!
Only downside was that we could not try their espresso drinks as the machine was out.

Hopefully next time. But excellent service.

Great new coffee spot in Lake Placid! Stopped in for breakfast and the service was fantastic and super friendly. The baked goods were particularly tasty, enjoyed the pumpkin loaf and banana bread. The cozy atmosphere made an early morning extra special.
