Always love my j town diner the cook is amazing he always makes you feel comfortable and the food is wonderful. I really enjoyed my pasta salad with gravy I love that they gave us a sample. This place is another great 24 hour spot.

Great breakfast food. Small dining area and only a couple people working at a time. To be expected from such a small place though. That being said, you can get a burger at 3 AM and pancakes at 6 PM. Every employee is friendly and it says a lot about a place when they greet their regulars by name with a smile. Classic diner.

I wish I tried the breakfast instead of getting a burger for lunch. First timer and the look of the place drew me in. The cook was a fantastic gal with a great smile and very happy and friendly to boot. had the home cut french fries and bacon cheeseburger. Very fair pricing but the food wasn't anything special. I gave it three stars due to the cook. I feel like if she had made me breakfast the place would be a solid four star. Also tried their famous macaroni salad and gravy. What a pairing! Would never have thought it would work but it did. Still, you only need a little side dish to enjoy. If you find yourself in Johnstown you might give this place a try but go for the breakfast.

Good diner food, great prices. Their lumberjack breakfast is an amazing two plate spread. Small, and their largest table seats about five if you get close. There are about five tables plus the counter. The ambiance is roughneck-diner, so don't expect anything fancy. As to the food, lots of folks go there for mac-salad with gravy. If that intrigues you, give them a try. If that scares you, this may not be your place. With that said, I have been eating there for years and never got a bad meal. They have the best pancakes around, and if you are lucky enough to be there on kielbasa-chowder day, that's a treat not to be missed.
