Crystal Brook Resort Mountain Brauhaus

Beautiful resort, was there for a German fest.......can't wait to go back and try the restaurant!

One of the last local places keeping tradition alive. We absolutely love it.

The only negative I have is that their events desperately need to be planned/communicated better.

"Jagerfest" ..we showed up, no Jager girls, no deals on Jager. Everyone, including the employees the we spoke to had no clue what made it a special event. The one round of shots that we ordered they gave us a plastic shot tube as a souvenir... uh?

We called ahead for information regarding the WW2 event. I specifically asked if there was a start time and or any schedule and was told no, that it went on all day then ended at dark. We showed up around 3pm and nothing was happening. The reenactors(?) Were hanging out drinking at the biergarten. We missed everything.

We ate at the restaurant but was told the rooms were a great price and book ahead. The live music and space was great.

It was great! I wanted food and beer and that is what I got; along with cheering with the crowd, sing alongs and people watching ( I don't dance after only 1 beer). Not as many people there, compared to some other German festivals. I will go back, but not until next year and hopefully with a dance partner. I say next year, because there is soooo much to do, in the Hudson Valley, you gotta pace yourself.
