Really enjoyed it. Fantastic outdoor seating area. Beer is solid.
The Subversive Malting + Brewing guys continue to push the limits for farm fresh local ingredients and have quickly become a go-to spot for great craft beer in Hudson Valley. Their beer garden provides an amazing setting for groups small and large to comfortably meet and catch up, which is hard to come by these days. The proximity of the brewery to the NYS thruway makes it an easy stop for all traveling the corridor between NYC and the Adirondacks. The variety and character of the beers at Subversive are all the more impressive knowing that the malt used in every brew is made right in the building. The craftsmanship is evident in every sip and the quality of grain, hops, and adjuncts shine through beautifully. Don’t forget to grab something to-go from their awesome selection of bottles and cans, cheers!
I had a guest in my Inn ask me about this place recently. I didn't know about it but I am so glad to have discovered it! Amazing pizza, great drinks and cozy environment. I have been recommending it to everyone!
My favorite place for a beer in Catskill or anywhere in the Hudson Valley for that matter. The new Saison is amazing and the beer garden is the perfect place for a cold pint! Well worth a visit if you are staying in Hudson or Red Hook as well!
Max and Zane’s new space is the embodiment of a frosty cold pint on a hot summer day.
Delicious beer, local and authentic every step of the way. Their old space on Main Street was welcoming, but the new garden is a draw. I brought the Not From New England to a tasting downstate and it won everyone over. Thanks guys, for making me look like I have any clue what I am doing.
