Coleman's Dock Of The Bay

Great lunch! Always get their Bison burger and never disappointed. There homemade BBQ sauce is amazing, unfortunately they ran out of the bottles they sell to the public. Worth a trip just for the sauce. Had some of the pulled pork sandwich as well ... very good!

Amazing restaurant! We pulled up on our boat and docked right in front of the restaurant. Amazing! I was very impressed when I looked at the menu and saw that they had a beverage section when most restaurants don’t! We ordered or drinks and food and within 5 minutes they brought out our Appetizers! Not even 10 minutes later they brought out all of our food. The food was delicious. The pink lemonade that I had was the best pink lemonade I have ever had! And to top it all of our waitress was very polite and kind. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

Just got back from a trip to the Thousand islands in Alexandria Bay. We ate here last night and this was one of my favorite restaurants! I had the Ruben egg rolls as a appetizer with thousand island dressing as a dip and it was delicious. Very nice to have a Ruben wrapped up in a little egg roll.

The main meal was their smokehouse half chicken and their BBQ sauce and all the dry rub seasonings was sensational! It was probably the best BBQ sauce I’ve ever had. It was served with fries and corn bread which was so soft and yummy and really went well with the chicken.

If your visiting Alexandria Bay NY, definitely stop by here for a delicious dinner.

Coleman’s wasn’t too spectacular. The service seemed a bit slow, with the restaurant not being overly crowded. Our waitress was nice, but nothing over the top. I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Scampi which was a bit bland. I would have expected more flavor from it. On the other hand, the location is fantastic. We sat outside as the sun was setting. The seating was right on the side of the dock, with grand views of the waterway with many different types of small boats. I would say that Coleman’s is nothing special, just an average seafood restaurant.

Everyone, 8 of us ranging from 5 to 45, enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I had the steamed clams and jambalaya. Both were very good - jambalaya was not at all spicy, but what do you really expect in upstate NY versus New Orleans? The samples of steak and lobster mac & cheese from the rest of our party were delicious. I also recommend the tuna appetizer, what I managed to scavenge off of my wife's plate was amazing.

Wasn't a big deal for us, but be prepared that you can't split checks on 6+ people.
