Went on a very cold winter day. I guess because the place is so small, the cold draft spread throughout; not many tables at all. The staff is friendly, and attentive. The Catfish overall was my favorite on the menu. Nice place to go on a weekday for brunch.
Top notch place for great southern cooking. To start, the future brussels sprout and squash medley was had a crazy flavor profile filled with lemony notes and an almost curry like spice. The chicken biscuit was packed full of spicy and sweet flavor. The burnt ends baked beans had a sweet and smoky flavor that reminds you of a backyard BBQ. To finish, the banana cream pie was delicately smooth, not too sweet, and hands down the best pie I have had in a long time. This place is an easy favorite and I will be back!
I came in for a quick lunch on a Friday and it wasn't very busy so I got a table immediately. Having read a bunch of reviews I already knew that I would order the Chicken and Biscuit, which I did.
I have to say, it was delicious. The chicken was nicely fried and juicy. The biscuit was good. And the combination of sweet, spicy, and sour sauce worked perfectly! I'd definitely come back and try other stuff as well. The dish looked small, but it was filling. If I was really hungry then I'd probably order a side as well.
This place was actually pretty dope. The waitress did us a solid as far as seating goes and the food was really good. Biscuits were surprisingly good. Drinks are appropriately strong and the atmosphere (in the back) is a bit more calm as the front area is pretty cramped if aesthetically pleasing.
Across the street there is a coffee\bike shop and that stuff is wild overpriced and kind of nasty. Also the concept of a bicycle and Coffee shop is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard off, like ???? What I need after getting my bike serviced or dropping $900 on a bike is a $5 Americano, y'all are insane.
It's just amazing. The chicken biscuit is amazing! Good price and awesome food. The staff is always very nice with us and they are well trained. The pies are also amazing. Each of of them!
