Best Roti in New York!
Come early, cause options tend to run out by the end of the day
Friendly staff, but shop can get very busy at times.
*ask questions, and make it known if your not familiar with Roti so they can explain what is what.
Amazing roti. It's a lot of food to me and I'm a big guy. That's a good thing. The staff there has good energy. Lines can be long but my wait wasn't too long when I was there. I'll def be back some more.
Ali's has been my spot since they opened years ago, then the quality of food went down the past five years or so. I stopped frequenting this spot, then I decided to give them another try recently. Well! The roti taste has improved tremendously!! Meat is tasty once more, and the roti skin has peas in it. So big-up to Ali's (John) for the improvements and the new restaurant look too :) Lines still long but that's Ali's for ya.
Good food, but service with an attitude. God forbid you have to ask them what anything is. They should really post a sign of what the day's offerings are. Also be warned their credit card machine works about 50% of the time. And they may run out of roti, or vegetables. When you can get what you want, it is good.
Service oh is island time pace you know as if they've got all day and so do you. However t the food is pretty good but not always worth the wait. If you are using plastic in any form credit or ???? be sure to have ID. The best fryed dumplings in town. Prices are reasonable.
