I stopped here on my last night in New York with a friend who lives in the neighborhood and we LOVED it! We had the gluten free linguini and gnocchi (they offer both) and they were delicious! Perfectly cooked and not gummy at all (gf pasta can be tricky!) and both were gorgeously sauced. The house red wine was great, the staff was super nice and they even had gf flourless chocolate cake for desert! I wish this was my neighborhood spot so I could eat there all the time. Can’t wait to visit again!
The restaurant is a very nice and clean place to eat The calamari was delicious and pork chop was amazing! I also highly recommended to try the pepperoni and puttanesca pizza. The service was absolutely great and the warm dim lights makes for a romantic night out with a loved one definitely a great valentines or date night place to bring that special person BUON APPETITO!
Casa Conte Italian Restaurant is truly a hidden gem in a trendy Brooklyn neighborhood known as Columbia Street Waterfront District. My niece Victoria made this great find and recommended this restaurant to us. For appetizers, we had calamari with a side of tomato sauce and gnocchi with sage and butter. For dinner entrees, we ordered the grilled salmon with house salad, chicken parmigiana with mixed vegetables (string beans and cauliflower), spaghetti (fresh pasta) with meatballs (made with pine nuts and raisins) and mushroom risotto. All of the dishes were freshly made, authentic and absolutely delicious. We were very impressed with the high quality ingredients used in all of the dishes. The portions are medium sized so you can easily go from appetizers to entrees and round it off with dessert. Chef Giovanni recommended the doubly decadent desserts comprised of homemade chocolate cake, tiramisu and panna cotta with raspberries. The dishes are reasonably priced. The restaurant is cozy and its atmosphere has a nice feel good old fashioned upbeat vibe with oldies music. We thank Chef Giovanni for a wonderful fine dining experience and our server Danielle for paying attention to all the details. The entire experience sets this place apart from all the rest. We are absolutely fans of Casa Conte!
Authentic selection & value for prices. Nothing is over seasoned, simply cooked that lets the fresh produce or proteins speak for themselves. Tried the fish, pork chop & pasta carbonara, all highly recommended.
What a great addition to the city. This is authentic Italian the way it is supposed to be done. Wholesome and healthy ingredients give chef Gio’s cuisine flavors you can’t find anywhere in the area. Get a pizza to share with friends and move the perfect butter sage gnocchi. The homemade pasta is the perfect consistency and very filling. Also, each and every dessert is worth a try and will complete your meal on a high note!
