Neighborhood coffee spot. Small, quiet and nestled in lovely, Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The wait person that actually serves up the food is rather pleasant and nice to connect with. However, the fellow who usually rings you up comes off sort of grumpy and tired.
I hope that changes for the better. Perhaps they should switch roles sometimes and switch to make a healthy chnage, or perspective?
Macchiato was good, but my bagel was far from it. Maybe bc it was New Years Day, and the bakery was closed? Darn thing was rock hard, and it shouldn't have been sold. I won't be back.
Good atmosphere and reasonably priced coffee and teas. Two locations downtown, so in case one is crowded, you can try the other one. Friendly staff.
Good coffee shop for stopping by and grabbing a morning (or afternoon) latte and pastry. Hungry Ghost serves Stumptown coffee, which is a mark of quality for any coffee shop, and everything I've ordered has been good!
There is a couple of Hungry Ghost store fronts in this area, and this location is by far the smallest. It is more of a grab-and-go spot while you're on your way to Prospect Park than a coffee date spot.
Coffee is a weakness of mine, especially an ice coffee on a hot day. Thankfully my husband and I came in when it wasn't crowded, and we grabbed a seat. Some music played that reminded me of high school, and not in a bad way. The employees were pretty friendly, and the coffee was quite tasty and refreshing. Prices are pretty reasonable too, for those of us that can handle our coffee straight up.
Perked me right up after the previous two places I went to had rude employees.
