(November 22, 2018, 12:35 am)Best shawarma and hummus I know of in the five Boros. I've been ordering from Damas for years and they never disappoint. Their pitas are excellent as well.

(November 11, 2018, 3:31 am)Only choice for middle eastern food in Clinton Hill after Zaytoons closed. Not the best hummus, mediocre grilled meat. Definitely, would not sit there to eat. Not a pleasant place. Take out is OK. Nothing special.

The sandwiches are quite filling - a standard meal for one person. But the platter options may be a better deal - enough for leftovers the next day, or to share. Beautiful appetizers as well, including a soft, comforting hummus and a tangy, stiff baba ghanoush. Our side of pita bread arrived hot and freshly grilled, and is a steal at 3 for $1.
