Best shawarma and hummus I know of in the five Boros. I've been ordering from Damas for years and they never disappoint. Their pitas are excellent as well.

Only choice for middle eastern food in Clinton Hill after Zaytoons closed. Not the best hummus, mediocre grilled meat. Definitely, would not sit there to eat. Not a pleasant place. Take out is OK. Nothing special.

Save this spot for a hearty take-out on a night in.

The sandwiches are quite filling - a standard meal for one person. But the platter options may be a better deal - enough for leftovers the next day, or to share. Beautiful appetizers as well, including a soft, comforting hummus and a tangy, stiff baba ghanoush. Our side of pita bread arrived hot and freshly grilled, and is a steal at 3 for $1.
