Risbo

The second time I went to Risbo with a friend on a Friday night the place was backed and the music they play is great! We both got the Risbo platter which was so good. The fish was absolutely delicious (even though it had lots of bones) and the plantain and rice and beans were just the way I like them. The ginger soda is very good as well!

I was so impressed by the vibe of the place. The atmosphere was nice, refreshing decor, beautiful featured artwork and photography. The food was so delicious. No frills service, picnic table style eating, hang around as long as you like and bus your own tables when done. Can’t wait to checkout the outdoor patio in the summer.

Risbo is nothing if not consistent. They don't wow you with 10 million menu items or fancy names. They aren't about pomp and circumstance either. They make flavorful, consistent, solid food that you can enjoy when you come home from work, if you're on a date, or just feel the need for something that tastes home cooked (read full of love) without having to do the dishes.

Best kale salad ever!!! Vegetarian-not vegan, but I’m sure you can make a request for no cheese. I CRAVE IT EVERY DAY! I have gone to Risbo 4 times and have the kale salad of course. It comes with half of a sweet potato. Also, the plantain is amazing side!!! Best place to come eat and have a drink.

The Food, the Food is delish!!! All of it!!! The food is so good and fresh that it makes me ignore uncomfortable seating arrangement and very loud muffled music. Please consider adding better chairs and speakers. At least, hang speakers from ceiling for better sound. Also hanging speakers would prevent people from shouting at each other to have a proper conversation.
