Clean bright place, food is good and made to order. Bar is well stocked, very reasonable prices. The only drawback is the salsa, it's bottled supermarket salsa.
Cozy, local vibe with reasonably priced drinks. Their cheese fries are killer. My idea of a perfect dive bar.
Best hamburgers ever. The salads are really good. I wish they would have mozzarella as an option for the cheese on the burger, but still really good.
Some of the most pivotal conversations I've had in my life since moving to Brooklyn have been at Abilene. It's one of those anchor spots where you can stop and read a magazine for the evening, make a new friend, or share some deep thoughts with a loved one. I hope Abilene stays here forever. I recommend the nachos buffalo chicken sandwich. And if it's really been one of those days, get the buffalo chicken burrito!
The food was good (grilled chicken sandwich, Cuban sandwich, and jalapeno poppers). The drinks were also good. If you want a quick bite and a cold drink, come here.
