Adequate Food with NYC Price Tag
As you often find at Barbecue, there’s less than a dozen items in building (a plus) but somehow the staff knows too little about any of them (huge minus).
Feels like this menu relies too much on sugar.
Pit beans have a nice smoke. For me, if youre going to smoke an entire brisket, you may as well offer sliced fatty brisket not just chopped lean mean in sauce with craisins. Collards tasty but did need so much celery.
I find that the lax’d picnic table ambience has ruined server’s perceived responsibilities across the board in BBQ places. Please know the menu, check on customers and be knowledgeable and aware. Or make me order at the counter.
Not a demotion but just a fun story, I was offered the special of the day Rib Tips and a Beer for $13, and I said oh thanks I don’t drink. Server responded, why would that matter (confused). I said oh because half of that special is booze ????.
Delicious, good prices, great selection, kids menu, lots of parking right on the street...who could ask for more? ????
Overpriced. Wish I'd taken a photo of the $8 hot dog which looked very tiny and sad on an overlarge bun (you want toppings? that's $12, buddy). The chopped brisket cheesesteak was good, but not $18 good.
Great BBQ. Can sell out of their more popular items so the earlier you go the better.
Best burnt ends ever!! Love this place no place for better barbecue. My picture does it no justice! Try the brisket fries they rock!!
