Great food and friendly staff. I also liked the ambiance.
there is a danish word, hygge, which has no real english translation but is basically used to describe that feeling of cozy home and hearth, fireside snuggling. and this place feels like that to me. I lived around the corner from it when it opened, and I've seen it go from a scrappy hipster whole in the wall to a really well furnished establishment, but it's always had that feeling like i walked into some 1940s jazz musicians chill room and can just sink in and eat some of the best food around. love this place.
Amazing vegetarian tasty food!! The humus is a must, and the sandwiches are terrific! The 1$ cookies are delicious! The place has a great atmosphere, and the server was amazing. Don't miss it out!
A great restaurant for many reasons. Excellent atmosphere with a very patient and friendly staff. Most importantly, their food is great. Try the hummus plate or Seitan Sandwich! Super quick service with many healthy options.
It’s difficult to find a vegetarian restaurant in NYC. So this jewel I discovered today was really heartfelt. Fernando is the chef and he made me a awesome sandwich this morning. And the coffee was pretty decent also. I’ll eat at Newtown whenever I’m passing through the area.
