Rarely I ever write a review on a Chinese restaurant. I went here with my family for lunar new year dinner. Though the dishes were a bit slow to come out, the food was delicious and carefully prepared for optimal taste. I recommend you try when they aren't over packed. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience.
I'm so glad to finally have a dimsum restaurant within walking distance of my house. Dimsum is above average and constantly comes out fresh because of the sheer volume of customers. There were a number of spins on classic dishes that I haven't had elsewhere, and they were all really good! I haven't had dinner here so I can't speak for that. Don't really understand all the negative reviews just because it's crowded. Go early as possible; this place gets packed!
Okay, I'll admit it, I love dim sum! I also have to admit that when I eat dim sum, I don't necessarily make the healthy choices of steamed greens. I usually go for the spare rib tips, shrimp dumplings and other tasty fried goods. I gave this establishment four stars for the following reasons...
Obviously because they serve dim sum. Need I say more? They also offer valet parking. And in trendy Brooklyn, that is becoming a scarce commodity. And last, but not least, they have quite an attentive staff. And if you have frequented other dim sum places as I have, that is unusual for a large capacity establishment.
Most of their staff also speak English. Another added plus. Overall I would say I had a good experience.
Expect at least a 15-minute wait to be seated.
Also accessible via the B-1 bus.
