The chef's tasting menu is not only worth the trek from Manhattan, but seriously worth every penny spent. My table is still gobsmacked over our food, but the service was also exceptional. I would recommend this to anyone. You're in for a treat from the very first bite to the house-made ice cream to finish things off (best ice cream ever?!)! I'll definitely be back in a few months when the seasonal menu changes, although our server told us tweaks are made to the dishes offered every single day.
One of the best restaurants in Brooklyn. Interior is not so great but the kitchen is so tight, inventive, and consistent that it keeps me coming back, mouth watering.
I traveled from Long Island to Brooklyn for this restaurant & it was worth it. All our friends loved it, too. We all had the chef's tasting menu & every dish was delicious. The food came very quickly which amazed us because the kitchen space looked very limited & the restaurant was packed. I would recommend making reservations for a group because they had a lot of patrons waiting to eat there. 2 hours is allotted for your experience. We took a wrong turn getting there and before you know it, we're going across a bridge stuck in traffic. This made us 15 min late for our reservation but the service was very nice despite our tardiness. Our friends were 20 min late due to lack of parking spaces in the neighborhood. Make sure to give yourself extra time to get here if you're driving.
They ask you first what you'd like to see and what you don't like, to better get an idea of what to serve you. We had a starting complimentary small cup of soup, followed by 10 dishes, and ending with 3 desserts + a complimentary fruit bite. Out of our dishes, I highly recommend the scallops if they're part of the menu. Everything else was a combination of interesting flavors. We left either satisfied or stuffed. I don't like mentioning specifics, since the dishes could often change per season.
Amazing food for the price. The seared scallop was definitely my favourite. They timed the courses pretty well. We were completely stuffed at the end of it so don't be deceived by the size of your first course. Would definitely return!
