As a promoter renting the space, I love this place.
As a band member playing the venue, I love this place.
As a person attending a show, I love this place.
So many things can set this place apart from other venues, but this is just the one.
Great venue. Relaxed staff, easy access to drinks without straying too far from the stage. Just big enough to have a nice crowd and just small enough to be one of those more intimate shows where you feel close (and are close) to the band.
The sound was really great too, I've been disappointed by the sound at some places like this, but it was really fantastic.
All parts of the music came through clearly and it was just one of the best shows I've been to in my 20 years of going to shows.
If anyone from Long Island remembers the Crazy Donkey or The Downtown, I would come this place to them, definitely, and that's a pretty big compliment for those of us that are fans of metal/hardcore shows.
Awesome space and good audio. Love the multi level vibe. Hopefully they can clean it up a bit more and make this a NYC staple for shows
Located in a quiet area in Brooklyn the Brooklyn Bazaar is great place to catch a show. It's an intimate setting with great acoustics. There isn't much seating at all if that's what you're in to. The venue itself is upstairs which features a well stocked bar (beer, wine, liquor, and frozen drinks). Some smaller venues get hot quick when there's a lot of people crowding in but I didn't get that here. All in all, a great experience, would go back again definitely.
One of my favorite bars to go to. Great drinks and great games in a great location. Only downside is that it get very crowded around prime time and it becomes hard to navigate. I usually like to go at opening so I can play what I want and drink at my leisure, then I can enjoy the influx of people once I'm comfortable and I can bail for food before it gets too crowded.
