Hit or miss - loved it the first time when we sat at the bar. Returned a second time and had to sit in the back where it appears that all the wait staff forget about you. The unique sodas are really unique and fun though!
Boy can a guy have a good time over here!
They have a couple great sundaes and concoctions, eating each of which is a treasure in itself. The entire time was a pure pleasure. I had some friends along who enjoyed playing children's games the entire time, although I do consider them to be adults. It is possible to just talk over here and engage in conversation.
The atmosphere is pleasant and took me back to the old pharmacy times with photos of similar places from the 18 and 1900's hanging on the wall. They sell all natural maraschino cherries here which is a gem in itself!
I will keep coming back here as I keep getting older and heavier.
1929 sundaes and sodas at 2029 prices. The 1st visit, service was friendly, which made me feel somewhat ok about getting fleeced. This time a server with a charmless and inexplicably weird attitude killed the vibe. Have the feeling they're getting too many tourists, and starting to coast. Sundaes are good, but there's lots of ice cream in this town, not sure I need to pay a premium to eat it next to a typewriter and a rotary phone if the service doesn't match the old-style surface.
Been waiting to go here for a while, and it was totally worth it! The place is adorable and the sodas and egg creams were fantastic. Just wish I got here before the kitchen closed because the gooey grilled cheese sounds like it would really hit the spot.
This place is a blast from the past! I'm a huge history nerd and love everything from the past and Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain nailed it. The environment is beautiful and preserved it felt like I was at pharmacy and soda fountain from the 1940's. The food was fantastic and the egg creams were the best I've ever had. I wish one of these was in Maryland where I'm from, I'd be a regular customer!
