(February 3, 2019, 6:35 am)Clean restaurant, friendly staff, good food (curry goat & oxtails w/rice & peas was my order), and all of the meals cost an average of $15 with decent portions. I usually go to Fisherman Cove at 2137 Nostrand Ave. but I wanted to try something different and cars be lined up on the weekends (prob after the club) at De Island Restaurant so that's what made me go there. And yes, I will be returning there from time to time.

(December 29, 2018, 11:55 pm)Food was great!!! Customer service needs some tweaking... lady at the register looked like she was over the whole day when I walked in and had an attitude for some reason. We need to do better and treat and greet people properly.
