Fried oreos are great! But there is barely any food and they have only beer and limited wine. The staff (Demetri) was very nice!
My girlfriend and I moved from an area where breweries were plentiful and we were having a difficult time finding a bar near us that had a decent craft selection, good food and where we would "feel at home". Draft Barn was recommended to me by a friend and the place certainly exceeded expectations!
The draft/bottle list can certainly be daunting to tackle on your own (I certainly felt overwhelmed at first) but there was a very eclectic mix to choose from. And if you are unsure, ask for Russell! His recommendations were spot-on! He was friendly and knew exactly what beers we would like! We only had the salted croutons (made in-house) to snack on while there but based on how tasty those were, I have no doubt that the other food there is great too!
We will definitely return again!
My boyfriend and I went here to watch the World Cup, have a few beers, and enjoy air conditioning during some of the hottest days of the year. WE GOT SO MUCH MORE THAN WE BARGAINED FOR!!!!!! We went inside and immediately felt at home. It was cool and had a wonderful atmosphere. Children were playing near their families and everyone was rooting for their respective teams during the World Cup. It wasn't too crowded that we couldn't sit, but we had a choice between the bar, a booth or a beer hall type table. We ended up sitting at the bar and had the immense privilege of meeting Russell. Russell is an absolute gem and I hope you get to meet him too. He makes the bar more of a home, has FANTASTIC recommendations when it comes to food and beer, and is incredibly personable. We had an amazing conversation with him and got to know a lot about his personal and professional history. Truly a delight!
The beer was also amazing! It was honestly a little over whelming given that they have 250+ different beers bottled and about a dozen on tap. Russell came in with some amazing recommendations based on what we said we liked and even included a wonderful food pairing. For anyone going there, I highly recommend the salted croutons to snack on with your beer. They are the best croutons that I have ever had; they were warm, toasty, and perfectly salted.
Overall, it is IMPERATIVE that you visit this tap-house, see Russell and hear some of his amazing recommendations for new and interesting beers.
