Small yet lovely Italian-meets-Russian restaurant run by Russian couple. Cozy interior with beautiful homey touches, cookbooks, a small children's play area, and tongue in cheek references to beets and carrots. Food is well thought out and prepared by the husband with a gourmet flair (pumpkin soup with foam?!), while the wife managed the front of house with the warmest hospitality one could ever receive. A dining experience not to be overlooked in Bay Ridge!
Fantastic little place. Quiet atmosphere, amazing food and service and fairly priced. My wife and I started with the hummus. It was a little chunky and one of the best hummus I’ve tried in a while. For our mains, we tried the cauliflower and I had the gnocchi with mushrooms, both were very flavorful and fresh. The beets and carrot cake and ice cream was also amazing and a great finish to a delicious meal. Both the owner/chef and waiter were really friendly and welcoming. All this together makes me want to highly recommend this place and keep coming back here myself.
You must try this place. You won't be disappointed by the dinner menu. Very creative and reliably delicious. There's something for everyone. Breakfast is outstanding as well.
The place is very cute and cozy. I thought the food was wonderful. The Chef is a really great guy who puts a lot of time, love, and energy into the meals he creates. I really recommend checking the place out. byob, there is a wine store next door.
Great place to eat, and relax. The owners/staff are very pleasant, warm people. The food was delicious, and moderately priced. (Also child friendly). Highly recommend!
