In the front of the house is a gourmet deli and grocery. Head to the back of the house for an extensive eclectic $$$ beer list by the various sized glass, top notch sandwiches, other things on which to nosh and board games on offer. Summers the back porch is open. Happy hour weekday's until 8pm.
1. Great market for cuts of meat, cheese and fine produce, dry goods!
2. Insane beer selection on draft and in bottle/can
3. Delicious snacks and amazing sandwiches (and a late night sandwich that rules them ALL)
4. Great bartenders and shopkeepers
5. Refill-able soap and detergent dispenser for reducing the amount of plastics we dump in landfills!
Truly a neighborhood staple!
Go after 12am to have one of the best burgers. Perfectly spiced and cooked. Also a nice place to come grab food after a night out.
Very relaxed, with an excellent rotating beer selection and great food. Nana’s meatloaf is life; mekmuffins for breakfast are amazing. Backyard is super chill. Store is expensive but fun to poke around. my first choice for places to hang in Clinton Hill.
Enter Mekelburg's and you may be wondering whether you're in the right place because it'll look like you're in a grocery store (and you are) but sure enough, push through towards the back and you'll find what I can best describe as a speakeasy sandwich shop / bar. The food is pretty satisfyingly comforting and there's a large selection of beers on tap. There's also a backyard for when the weather is nice. Overall a great place to meet friends, grab a bite, a drink and hang out.
