So "Close," So Good

I was told about this place from others and thought I would give it a try. I practically see it every day I come home from work. I didn't know what to expect, but upon entering I was greeted with a buffet spread, brightly lit, while steam rose to the ceiling. The signs posted explaining how pricing worked was a bit confusing, but I asked the cashier and she proceeded to give me the highlights.

Basically there are two weight systems. One group of food items are $5.99 per pound, the other group is $7.99 per pound. Whatever you do, don't mix the two, or you will pay the higher price.

They have everything, from beef, ox, chicken and fish. Collards, to Mac and cheese. Cabbage to steamed veggies. I'm a pescaterian, but my options were not limited. I love fried fish, with steamed veggies, and Mac and cheese and my appetite was satiated nicely for under $9 dollars (2 dishes, the first with pieces of fish, the second with steamed veggies and Mac and cheese).

So far, so good. Can't wait to return, to taste the broiled snapper simmering in fish stock and veggies.

The food here was so delicious! They have hand sanitizing stations that you must use before sharing your food, and many tray sizes for your choosing. The food selection includes a salad bar, dinner, and breakfast. Will be back soon!

Food tasted excellent. Fair price, nice atmosphere. Make your own plate so you pick your portion. Good selection of well cooked food.

Love this food spot everything laid out for you to help yourself. You pay by the weight, the food is delicious. If you have a taste for good Caribbean food. It's a must you visit. Guaranteed your taste buds will be satisfaction!!
