This restaurant is AMAZING! I came here through a recommendation from a friend. The Onion Soup is probably one of the best I have eaten. The service is top notched and the waitstaff is very welcoming and attentive. The only thing is that they only take cash and American Express (no other credit card). To me the prices are really reasonable. This is definitely a place I will go to again. I am dying to try the pretzel next time, if I don't cave and get the Onion Soup again.....????

It's the best food in New York City. No joke. It is worth the trek to get here. The pretzel is unbelievable. The husband and wife owners are really, truly nice. Sunday brunch is killer, the french toast is from another planet.

Amazing. First time there. I had German food before but this was just outstanding. Highly recommend the brats, pretzel, onion soup, and chicken schnitzel. Can't wait to go back and try other items .

I cannot express enough how much I adore this place. The food is so amazing; Thomas really knows his stuff. And I love passing time at the bar sipping wine (available on draft in carafes) and noshing on (literally, look it up) NYC's best hot soft pretzel. If you haven't been, go. Now. Like put your coat on and go.

Good food.. decent price.. great staff. Nice place. Great German food.. but they do a lot of European dishes... really enjoy this place. Just wish they took credit cards.. besides amex.
