Burgie’s

I stopped by here with a friend on a cold & wet day. The decor is very contemporary and it is nice and bright. It looks like they offer beer but I'm not sure about liquor. I ordered the double cheeseburger which was delicious but I have to say the fries were super salty. 4 hours later I can still taste the salt in my mouth. I only ate half of them because of the salt content. Also, the fries are very short and look like scraps. If you're only there for the burger I think you'll enjoy it.

My partner had the burger. She eats a lot of burgers. She describes it as “very, very, very good.”

I lean vegetarian, so I had the vegan burger. It was not very good. A little like eating a nicely baked owl pellet with hot arugula. If I were only rating the vegan burger, I’d give 1-2 stars. Needs a lot more balance and flavor to come close to looking as good as the burger.

The quality of the food was very good, if a little too salty. Portions were a little small for the price. I guess I just don’t know as a business model how this place can work, especially during Covid, with only serving one thing on the menu basically- maybe it would function better as a food truck or pop-up vs. a brick and mortar, especially due to the offbeat location.

I was very pleased with my burger and fries and will be returning. I ordered the veggie burger and I appreciate that they gave the burger the love and attention it deserves and are not just offering it on the menu as a throwaway option. Fries were super tasty. I just wish the weather was warmer or there was seating outside because fries are always best straight out of the fryer. Staff was also super friendly. I wish this place much success!
