It's a bit on the expensive side, but I think it's worth it - plus the happy hour deal at the bar is great. Loved the fish & shrimp tacos, and the spicy margarita was delicious!
Amazing dining experience! The interior of Ensenada is beautifully decorated and their menu and cocktail list are creative and unique. The tostadas and aguachile were my favorite but everything is prepared with intention and the freshest ingredients.
Brilliant weeknight dinner. With the quality of food and service I am surprised at how easy it was to get a table. Their tacos were perfectly portioned with excellent flavor and texture. Will definitely return again
Visited this restaurant this week and the experience was okay. Let me start by highlighting the positives:
Ambiance - Laid back and good music.
Food - Ordered the guacamole, fish tacos, and shrimp tacos. Overall the food was decent.
Service - No complaints. The bartender was attentive and friendly.
Now on to the areas of opportunity:
Price - Expensive! $17-18 for 2 very small tacos. Even when compared to similar restaurants in the neighborhood, the prices are still high for what you get. In my opinion, if you are going to charge this much then the quality of food or portion size should reflect the price.
Drinks - Ordered the Michelada and Paloma and both drinks were decent. The Paloma was a little bit too sweet but understandable since the staff is new.
Note: Please note that this restaurant charges a 3.99% credit card fee. Thought this was strange since who carries cash nowadays and also disappointing to see another tax added to an already expensive bill.
