Great neighborhood spot. Great vibes, although a bit loud. I know they just opened, but there a few things they could improve on. The mushrooms were very salty, the burger was good, but the bun wasn’t totally right (too thick/hearty). Drinks were good. We’ll definitely be back when they’re more in the swing of things.
Honestly, the burger is so damn good it should probably have its own OnlyFans page. Cocktail was perfect. The interior is stunning. So glad to have a place like this nearby.
Inga's will quickly become a popular neighborhood gem. The place was bustling for dinner opening week! Hyper-seasonal menu, superb hospitality, and ultra cozy vibes. The chef and his wife make you feel at home. Don’t sleep on their cheeseburger!
Easily the best restaurant in Brooklyn Heights. Everything we ordered was great (5 people). Staff were very friendly, too. Hesitant to write this review because it will be a difficult table to get, but so glad they joined the neighborhood.
We're very excited to have Inga's Bar in the neighborhood. We've missed Jack The Horse Tavern and Inga's is a worthwhile replacement. They were only open for 3 days so there a little confusion as they get their rhythm. But the staff was very gracious and charming, the food was quite delicious, and the place was already very busy.
I really enjoyed the brook trout dish. The duck confit was beautifully made. The skin was nice and crisp, it wasn't overly salty. The red cabbage and celery root puree were good accompaniments. The salad was really tasty although we found the rye croutons to be too hard.
The fisherman's stew was also very nice.
We asked for all of our food to be made with no finishing salt and they were very accommodating. The only dish that was strangely lacking in salt on the inside was the duck croquettes.
The food at a lot of the restaurants in Brooklyn Heights can be very safe and tame. It's nice to have interesting food in the hood again. At the same time it's nice that it's not precious or pretentious.
We will be back, hopefully we'll be able get a table.
