Look no more for the most delicious and freshest Mexican bakery in the area! 🔥😍Everything is made fresh daily, and if you’re looking to satisfy both your sweet and savory tooth, this is it. To my surprise, this bakery makes more than just the widest selection of pan Mexicano and the moistest cakes. 🍰🍩They also makes delicious breakfast tacos with handmade tortillas, different variety of tamales, empanadas and tortas! The staff are just as sweet and welcoming, and make you feel at home. The bakery itself is super clean and organized, and they have two small benches inside to sit down and enjoy your tacos or a cafecito con pan. 😋👍🏼✨

    Pictures below in order:
1- Sausage tacos with eggs, refried beans, avocado and a red sauce with the right amount of heat- DELISH.
2- ALL the bread you could want (not pictured are the fresh donuts showcased next to the counter)
3- Strawberry and chocolate cake, Cookies and crème, strawberry tres leches cakes. These were the spongiest and moistest cakes I’ve had in a long time. You could tell they’re made with love!
4- The bakery as soon as you walk in (not pictured are the two benches on each side of the entrance)
5- Chicken and beef empanadas!!! Perfectly crispy on the outside and all the savory goodness on the inside. Not pictured are the 4 types of tamales we ordered. I wish I had 3 stomachs to eat everything!

The spinach roll and apple turnover was delicious only 3 dollars each. My only complaint is I wish it was alittle bit bigger. The croissant are good too.

Had the new breakfast burritos... Cats still love it. I can't wait for Pedro's new spot to open on fifth avenue.

(3/26/2022) New item I found out on the menu: Taco Governador (sp?). A recipe unique to Sinaloa state of Mexico it is not your average Shrimp Taco (new picture uploaded) well seasoned shrimp with a good mix of fresh aromatics and peppers with a bit of queso on a house-made tortilla. Definitely worth a visit next weekend for a to go lunch to eat at Shore Park.
(Fyi they make homemade, gluten free, tortillas that can make a shoe taste good)

I went there for breakfast today (mid March 2022 weekend) to try their new breakfast taco... Game Changer! It is a chorizo hash with scramble eggs on their HOME MADE TORTILLA!!! It also comes with a side salad too. Another must have on their menu 😁 (new pix uploaded).

    Prior review:
I have now gone there about 5 times... twice in the last week... To say I am sold is an understatement.
This weekend I went there after a long walk along Shore Park for some Tamales (my fave are the Rajas btw). Pictured below is me making dinner with the Rajas and Oaxaca and a southwestern omelette.
Today I went for lunch. I had the 4 taco special (Chorizo and Tinga) and my partner had the Beans/Eggs/Avocado/Queso on the softest bun you can imagine... The Chorizo done well with some dices potatoes and the tinga is flavorful... Best part is I was full without feeling stuffed or bloated.
The bakery is also great. I feel the croissants are better than some other fancier bakeries, the pastries are good balanced sweet and buttery, and rolls are amazing for any sandwich.
Highly recommend this place... Part of what I like to call the Bay Ridge Golden Block :-)

The best breakfast taco I have ever had. Made with fresh ingredients + tortilla, it was exquisite!! I am not a big bread person, but their French toast made with freshly-baked poundcake was really delicious as well!! This store made my stay in Bay Ridge area so special.

Mandato Bakery is not just another Mexican food joint but they really go above and beyond to serve something unique to their customers. Where else are you gonna find a place that makes ribeye steak taco or shrimp taco. Above all that, they sell incredible desserts and breads that are freshly baked everyday. I highly recommend you come here and try out the different the food. You won't regret it! Make sure you don't get confused with the other place called Mandato next door as they are completely different.
