    SPOILER ALERT: I am not a vegan. I just love food and the food at Monk's is incredible. I could go on about the complex flavor profiles etc but honestly who has the time.

    Just go there, treat yourself to some really yummy vegan comfort food and thank me later.

    The menu is small but I sampled 4 items: bbq seitan, pulled mushroom, fried chickwheat sandwiches + rodeo fries. Best meal I have had all year, hands down! I only wish I still lived in Bushwick.

    Chris is the best! He catered my sons birthday party for a bunch of non vegans and everyone went home super happy with the food… would highly recommend whatever he makes it’s all really delicious super fresh and homemade!!! Thanks Chris!

    Super smoked vegan goodness....Ok, I haven’t actually been here as I only discovered this place during the pandemic. Getting to know my hood via takeout! they have been fast and consistent each time I order. Hope they stick around for a long time.

    I wish I took a photo of the “Chicken Tinga” tacos but I ate them all before I even thought about it. Highly recommend. Also the Rasta Roots sandwich is insanely tasty 😋
