Currently having some Mac n cheese, collard greens and salmon as I'm writing this review and OMG! Its all absolutely amazing. The food is flavorful without being overwhelming. The Mac n cheese is out of this world. (I've eaten it 3 days in a row before) Aside from the great food, the owner and staff are very attentive and down to earth. Sonia's has a new loyal customer!
Asked them to grill salmon for me without the sauce and it was seasoned so well. The taste was amazing!! Also, try the collard greens definitely a delicious treat. And VEGAN!! Yes, collards can taste amazing without the Turkey cooked in. Definitely a winner. 5 ⭐️
An an excellent first experience. The food was great but the MAC AND CHEESE was on another level and everyone needs to try it. I was very impressed by the owner because we took the time out to speak with me and he also treated is staff with compassion and respect. This, I am sure reflected in how great the food and service was. I now have an excuse to visit my family ( how lives nearby) more frequently. Highly recommended
I had the salmon, candid yams, and collard greens. What a meal! the salmon sauce had a sweet twist that I was not expecting, but definitely enjoyed. The salmon was also cooked well, and wasn't dried out or undercooked. The greens were flavorful, and the yams were well spiced and sweetened. The portions were great and were in reusable containers that helped with storage. The owner staff were great, they had suggestions, offered suggestions that paired with my usual taste buds, and also other options they had on the menu that I should try. OH! and how could I forget the cornbread; moist, fluffy, tasteful, and left me wanting more! I will surely come back again, and again, and maybe even another time after that.
If you’re in the mood for some well seasoned and prepared seafood then do yourself a favor and order from Sonia’s Crab & Finn. The food is exceptional and leaves you wanting more. The owner is warm and personable as is his staff. I especially recommend the candied yams as well as the mac n cheese and the collard greens. The seafood boil however stands out as the shining star. This spot is a really wonderful addition to the neighborhood and I anticipate them becoming a favorite for most. I wish them much success.
