Wanted some soul food and support black own business. I had the wings dinner. The wings were big but good. The macaroni and cheese was too salty for my liking and a bit dry (pasta was too loose). The yams were too sweet. I was happy that they carried ginger ale as many places do not. I'll give it one more try and just order veggie sides next time.

Not being biased, it's owned by a good friend of mine. Plus their food and service is great.

Visited for dinner on a weekday night. I was blown away by the cooking and hospitality of T-Roc Homestyle Cooking.

Ordered fried chicken, pork chops, shrimps along with the home made iced mango tea (please do not leave this place without trying their iced teas). One of the best fried chicken I have had.

Highly recommend travelers and guests to swing by this place for soul food if you are in Brooklyn

I can not talk highly enough of T-Roc and his cooking! By far the best waffle I’ve ever had with chicken. The mango iced tea is sweet like I had in my teens. The fish chunks are battered just right. The collared greens were perfect.

Everyone in the place, employee or patron, makes you feel at home.

Thanks for the amazing lunch. We’ll be back and bring friends!
