Such an amazing experience. The decor of the entire place is beautiful. Reservations are highly recommended.

We had the 2 appetizers - coulotte and shiitake mushroom ones - both were great but the latter was AMAZING. The shiitake mushroom had a hummus x tofu like blend to it and it was delicious.

We both ordered the miso ramen as it was the only one without pork in it. It's probably the best ramen I've ever had. Highly recommended.

Only downside is the chairs are all wooden so it kinda gets uncomfortable after a while. Still won't knock off starts though lol.

Tonchin in midtown has been one my top ramen spots for years, so when I’ve heard about another location opening in Williamsburg I could barely hold my excitement.

Little did I know that it’ll blow my expectations out of the water.

Everything was simply above and beyond. The food is delicious. Not just ramen — we’ve tried their wagyu carpaccio, yakitori, and white fish tartare. If I had to find something to improve it’s that some beef pieces were a bit tough. The meatballs on both skewers were incredible. The white tartare melted in my mouth exploding with flavors perfectly balanced in all the right places. Carpaccio was paired with (marinated?) chives and mustardy sauce. I wanted to lick the plate after every appetizer.

The smoked dashi ramen didn’t disappoint either with its ridiculously flavorful broth and meaty pieces of menma that felt like they were just charred over an open fire.

I also loved how well-done everything felt besides food — the decor is very organic; think Muji, with its soft colored pastel ceramic plates, wood accents and diffused lights. As if this wasn’t enough, our waiter came with a charming British accent and was attentive and just the right amount of helpful, the dishes came out fast and without any hiccups, the sake recommendation was on point.

The price point is a bit high and I wish they served cocktails. It also gets pretty loud. Other than that, a must visit when in the area.

We had Tonchin in Midtown a month ago and loved our meal so we decided to give the Brooklyn branch a try.

    Appetizers:
    1) Shitake - lacks flavor and acidity, it was just so so.
2)Tebasaki Wing - the wing was flavorful but my wing was still red inside. $7 for a small wing is a bit overpriced.

    Ramen:
Most of us got the Classic Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen and it tasted very good.

    Dessert:
The shaved ice was good but not nearly as good as the one from the Manhattan Tonchin branch. The foam topping here was more solid and less delicate in comparison.

Service was excellent and everyone was very attentive.

I would come back again but probably try some other appy.

Overall I would give it 3.5/5 stars.

Stunning interior design. Perfect spot for date night or casual gathering. Friendly and attentive service and food was exquisite. Great selections on natural wine. Sommelier was excellent and knowledgeable. Nice variety of mocktails and further showcased creativity. The white tartare, oysters, and shiitake starter was spectacular and a must get! Their classic Tokyo tonkotsu ramen was out of this world and with a great depth of flavor. Soba panna cotta and mango shaved ice was amazing, refreshing, and a perfect way to end a meal.

Awesome spot! Food is incredible, never usually get dessert but the matcha ice was actually pretty awesome. Staff is super friendly and facility is very clean. Ramen is really good and doesn’t taste like every other ramen out there. I highly recommend this spot.
