Vinny has one of the absolute best chicken parm heros that I have ever had in Brooklyn, NYC, wherever. But to accurately explain to you how satisfied I was with the sandwich, I need to tell a story. Apologies for the long review.... actually, no I'm not sorry because this is a dope f'ing hero and the world needs to know it exists. Plus let's be honest, if you're on google reviews in the first place, you obviously have nothing else between to do.
So the day started off just like any Saturday: woke up around 9am, annoyed my girlfriend, had my morning coffee, walked the dog, annoyed my girlfriend some more, read some, and then started watching The Sopranos (6th rewatch). And all of a sudden, I get a craving for a chicken parm hero (HAVE NO IDEA HOW THAT HAPPENED, I SWEAR!!!)
So I did a little research and found a place called Vinny's Of Carroll Gardens...ok this looks promising. So I suit up, grabbed my phone and book, and took a bus adventure to Carrol Gardens(one thing to know is this place is 40 minutes away). I get there, order from two Italian, mafioso-types with thick Brooklyn accents, pay (I tipped well) and start making my way back home. As I was heading back I was a bit worried that the hero wouldn't be as good by the time I get home but knew the comfort of eating in my living room would be worth it. And it was!! Even when it wasn't scolding hot, the sandwich was still incredible!!
So 10/10 AA++++, Definitely support this place. You'll feel good all over :)
P.S. I have a confess to make: I didn't really wait til I got home. I ate that that sh*t while walking like a savage and I didn't care!! But hey it was a good story right? ....RIGHT!?
Old Brooklyn with class and feel like you are a part of the family. Great food
Great basic homestyle food.
Extremely fresh, awesome House Salad.
Warm family atmosphere.
Some of the most comforting food I've ever had. Lasagne portion was the size of my head and phenomenal calamari.
Food was delicious, prices were a high, but worth it because the portions could were enough for two to three people. Depending on you appetite. Staff was plesant.
