Awesome
Went to dinner at North Shore and had a outstanding meal. As good as you can find in Rochester. I had a seafood and pasta chef feature. The seafood was prepared perfectly and the flavor of the sauce was outstanding. My wife had a wood grilled strip steak. I actually had some of it as well. The flavor of the wood grill really took this steak to the next level. I want to build my own wood grill this summer now. The service was very attentive and the fireplace was relaxing to sit by. We look forward to coming again and bringing some friends.
After a third great visit I decided to provide some guidance that seems to be lacking from the other reviews. The building is beautiful. It has a cozy and warm feeling with great jazz music in the background rounding our the ambiance. My last visit I enjoyed one of the chefs features which was wonderful. My husband always goes with a wood grilled steak. The flavor is amazing and definitely different prepared over the wood grill. Ryan our server was outstanding. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
I'm being moderately generous with the 3 stars, because it really wasn't okay, but I didn't hate everything about it. The view was terrific for sure! We started with the [micro mini] pan seared scallops served on the half-shell....just mediocre at best. We also had the crab cake (there were 4 of us). It (and I mean there was one) was tasty, but certainly not a cake by any definition...more like a spoonful of warm crab salad with some corn salsa. Everything from then on was good with the exception of mine. I had the Bourbon Marinated Beef Skewers. Very tender indeed, but a really weird, strong perfume taste made it almost inedible (what can I say, I starved myself all day for this, our wedding anniversary dinner). I ate it. I will likely go back given the options in the area. I was there a week (in Lakeville), and the only really well prepared meal I had was at Tee and Gees just down the road!!
They have made a ton of changes recently and they are all great! Brand new menu with tons of seafood. The food and service was amazing! The Lobster Bisque is a must get when coming here. Also this place has the best view on the lake!
