There is a good reason why they are ranked for their wings. Crispy buffalo wings were really good. Truly a place to go to if you are in town.
Never have had a problem with the food. In my opinion, for the wing quality, it's the best Duff's aside from the original in Amherst. The 3 stars is for the service. They have always been pretty slow, but the last visit, it took a good 10 minutes for someone to come to my table. Then, another 40 until the wings came out. FORTY. Not sure what the kitchen was doing as there were only 6 tables full at the time. It doesn't take that long to cook fries and wings. You wait 10 minutes max at the original Duff's and they are always slammed.
Duff's wings are a Buffalo staple and I'm sure glad they put one in Rochester. Can't quite put my finger on why their wings are so good but they are so good. Didn't disappoint tonight as I met my son for dinner. Bartender took great care of us and the wings were awesome. Watched 10 takeout orders go out the door while there.
The wings are great! The "death" wings here are the hottest I've been able to find in Rochester (and they still have flavor, too), although they're not the hottest I've ever had anywhere. If you're a hot wing enthusiast, I'd recommend going with those, or at least "suicidal"-- I can see how the "hot" flavor could be considered "very, very hot" to some, as their slogan goes, but I found it to be pretty mild, personally. Nice beer selection for a wing joint, and a good overall atmosphere: plenty of TVs for watching a game (discount drafts on Bills days, by the way), background music, and yet for the open setup surprisingly not overly noisy even when busy.
