“I have had wings from possible 100 or more places (it is my favorite food!) and these are the best without a doubt. They are almost like a battered piece of chicken, but a jumbo bone-in chicken wing! It blew my mind when I saw them and ate the first one. They were crispy, well cooked, flavorful and one of a kind. I would put them at the top of my list to return to in the near future. My wife had a calzone and that ended up being no joke a large pan pizza flipped in half and then cheese melted on top! It was great and obviously it was huge and we have leftovers. We spent under $30 for both and two waters. It is a must go on my list, check it out for yourself. See what you think of the place. Small dining area and they deliver if you are around the Gates area.”

They make their own bread and their own breakfast sausage- which is perhaps the best breakfast sausage I've ever had... it's the perfect combination of salty, sweet, with deep rich flavors. The staff is friendly and the decor makes you feel like you've stepped back into the 1950s/60s. The only reason I'm not giving this 5-is that I thought the french toast was a bit on the dry side- I personally think they need to soak the bread a bit longer. Otherwise this a great breakfast place.”

“A Rochester original and a must try if you like "ice cream". It's frozen custard and it is the best you can get. They have multiple locations, but I believe the first one was in Charlotte, however I am not sure of that. Don't ask for a twist, but you can get a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of vanilla. The machine is always one and you can see the custard coming out. Numerous toppings and cones to choose from at a reasonable price.”

“Went tonight and i know they close at 12am on sundays. But I had just got off work and made it at 11:45, at the window the employee was not friendly at all and was impatient with my order. At the window they swiped the money from my hand aggressively and I could hear them saying why is he here this late and they were swearing up a storm. Usually its great service but no one there at the time seemed like they wanted to be there. Food was fine but image is everything with employees.”

“I greatly enjoyed my stop at Mr. Beenz Diner. Breakfast (aka the very best of meal categories) is done really well here. The hash browns are crispy, the omelettes/benedict cooked perfectly well, and the coffee good and hot. There is not a whole lot that I could see that sets Mr. Beenz apart from your standard diner menu offerings, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, especially considering the quality. Really decent sized menu with plenty of options, nice clean interior, and they know breakfast. I'll certainly be back.”

“We’ve had a number of meals at this restaurant, and been happy each time. The pizzas from the wood stove were good, more like true Italian than the stuff from chain stores. The crust, delicious. We’ve had the pasta dishes and loved the sauces, the pasta itself has occasionally been a little overdone for me, but the sauce makes up for it. We’ve also had their specials of fish, tuna and snapper and have been wonderfully impressed. Done perfectly. The tuna is excellent, done rare, and with a nice sear, smoke flavor on the outside. Delicious, snapper wonderful as well. I liked the interior. Does feel like restaurants we’ve been in, in Italy. Very authentic.”
