Empanada Shop

Permanently Closed - Neno's (across the street) is moving in - there is a story about this on the Democrat and Chronicle website, but it's behind a paywall. This spot will be sorely missed by us because even though it had erratic hours / days of being open, it had seriously amazing food. Please come back :)

Absolutely in love with this shop; it's the only place I go for empanadas these days. Don't let it's appearance fool you, it's one of Monroe's gems and your taste buds will thank you. I have yet to go wrong with any order. Ask for recommendations if you're having trouble deciding and don't forget your rice and beans and pink sauce if you love yourself.

The food is amazing. Best empenadas I have had since I was a kid in Brooklyn. The beef stew is also a must try!

This is one of my regular spots because it's that good. There really isn't anything on the menu that I don't like, plus the service is so friendly and fast that it makes you want to keep coming back. Not many spots like this left. Definitely a must if you like Spanish food & empanadas because it's unreal!! Enjoy!!!
