The customer service is awesom. Not a very long wait time. The seating area is spacious and well lit with natural light. I ordered the jerk chicken salad, and peach cobbler. Delicious ????

My wife and I were welcomed by the owner with a smile and kind words. The restaurant is counter service and cash only with an ATM inside. We were short on cash but the owner had several options for us so it worked out.
We ordered the jerk chicken/ stewed chicken with two sides and rice. A good lunch for two people was the medium size. The food was very good. The jerk chicken had been cooked that day on a charcoal grill you could smell around the block. The stewed chicken, cabbage, rice and green beans were good, too.
We ate inside after a five minute wait. The restaurant is an old 19th Ward building with architectural adornments on the ceiling and leaded glass in the windows. Laid back, friendly atmosphere with large windows to watch the street, I was loving it. After our meal we made plans to return soon. Thanks for a great lunch

Was driving by during lunchtime with the windows down and just had to stop! The delicious smell of smoked jerk chicken filled the air! Food did not disappoint. Friendly service with with a clearly devoted neighborhood crowd. Hostess knew many people by name. Food was delicious and freshly made. Make sure to get extra jerk sauce - it's the best!!! Will certainly stop back for another plate next time I'm in the neighborhood - lots of combinations to choose from! Good prices for lunch- $6 for 1 meat and 1 side with rice, $11 for 2 meats and 2 sides with rice.
