Went to Rocco mid week as a treat and could not have been happier. The restaurant was not crowded and the list of specials made it hard to choose. But choose we did, my spouse had one of the specials, a delicious fried chicken sandwich. I had a delicious steak which was cooked perfectly. Service was amazing, food was great. What more could you want for a night out?
Very good sauce. Price was a little high, but I expected that. No bread at the table. An Italian restaurant I expected bread at the table. If there was, I would have given them a higher rating (I love a good bread!)
Excellent authentic food, but we didn't get seated until a half hour after the reservation. We did get comped a ricotta appetizer (which everyone should try no matter what). Just wish we could sit when we expected to. The food is a concise authentic Italian menu, with a variety of options including house made pastas and desserts.
Was pleasantly surprised by our meal at Rocco which was terrific! I was a little worried since the Yelp reviews were a little negative, but I should have trusted my fellow Google guides and our friends who took us. The service was on point and friendly and they have some fantastic seasonal dishes as well as what I understand are old standards. I would say as others have said to under order or you will be rolling out of the restaurant. We had arancini, special parmesan budino spring vegetable salad, grilled octopus, gnocchi alla Romana (semolina gnocchi!), braised beef short ribs with mashed potatoes, pasta alla vongole, and linguine with meatball ragu. Absolutely delicious! Surprised that my favorite dish was the gnocchi that was unctuous and flavorful. Great Italian wine list and we had a delicious Primitivo. Currently there is outdoor seating on the patio. Reservations a must. Parking can be tricky as the lot behind is teeny so on street is a good option. Can't wait to visit so we're can eat here again!
We had a great meal and got there right after opening at 5PM. The wait stacked up for such a small place shortly thereafter. Quality of the food was great and service was awesome!
