I was here for a private birthday party on a Sunday. The weather was perfect. They have a wonderful outdoor patio in the rear. We were served tasty tapas that were devoured by all the guests. Will come back soon for dinner.

Excellent collection of beer. I usually came here to spent my weekend or hangout with friends. Fast service. Staff are kind and friendly in nature. Decor of the bar is outstanding. I love to come here and spent the time.

In town for the weekend, my wife and I were ecstatic when we found Tapas 177 just down the street from our hotel. Absolutely awesome place. Very nice atmosphere, great wait staff and bartenders, nice beer selection, all bottle or can though, no draft system unfortunately. Top notch. Best of all they have vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. It's tough to find places that give a hoot about that but at Tapas 177 they do. Two special menu sections are set aside for both vegans and vegetarians. They know the difference, and they know how to prepare food for these specific dietary choices. We're not talking about just some vegetables or salads either. The chef has taken the time to craft unique and appealing menu items.

Highly recommended if you're in Rochester and appreciate fine dining in a charming old building with the right vibe, the right menu, and the right people on the job.

We were in town for two nights, dined in their chic downstairs restaurant the first night, then on night number two we enjoyed a beer while we ordered take-away at the bar. Outstanding. Highly recommended.
