Samis Kabab House

Sami Kabab has been on my radar since it opened in Astoria a few years ago and I’m happy to report that the same delicious authentic Afghani food found on Crescent Street is being served up in generous portions at the Glen Cove NY location. The mantu (dumplings) are outstanding as are the homemade desserts. Sami and the staff will bend over backwards to make sure you are completely satisfied. Come hungry leave happy!

First time ordering tonight. We ordered several entrees and an app, soup, and dessert. My husband picked up the order and when he got home with it we saw that only about 1/3 of the order made it home (another bag of food With the remainder of our order must’ve been left at the restaurant). We called right away and the restaurant delivered the remaining food that was missing, but to our surprise they sent over the whole order— even though we told them we got some of the entrees! So we ended up with extra! Everything was delicious and now we are happy to have extra leftovers! The staff was very apologetic for the missing food, and very pleasant. At first we were disappointed to have to wait for the rest of our family’s dinner, but they turned out to be very generous which made the experience much happier.

So glad this place opened recently in the area. The chicken and lamb kabobs are excellent, especially with the upgraded rice. Tremendous flavor, and great bang for your buck. Very friendly ownership. I’m good for 2X/week.

The food was delicious I highly recommend this place . We order a lot of food we had the salmon kabab, chicken kabab, lamb kabab and some appetizers and they were all delicious ? The owner was so nice and gave me a drink while I waited for my food, it is a great addition to Glen Cove ❤️

Great cuisine!! Never eating Afghani cuisine BUT this new restaurant originated in Astoria Queens is a MUST. A feast to your palet. The lamb, shrimp and vegetarian dishes are unique. Eat in or take out. Highly recommend
