“After a day out boating on the sound, some friends recommended The Cove for dinner. Not being a native of LI, it sounded good. Docking with a larger boat proved challenging, as they don't have much space, but we made do. Let me start off by saying that the food was absolutely amazing. With that said, there were two reasons why I didn't give 5 stars. First, we were there on a Sunday evening, not too busy. It took over an hour to finally get our meals after inquiring multiple times. Secondly, our waiter left alot to be desired as I mentioned to him that I have two teenagers that I needed to get home in a reasonable time and asked him to check on our food. He replied, "I have school tomorrow also, what's the big deal". We were a party of six, two of whom frequent this restaurant, who just looked at him in disbelief. Maybe he will be better suited at whatever his major in college is, but being a server is not for him. We will definitely go back and try them again, hopefully with better results.”

The red velvet waffle for dessert was hard and cold, very skimpy on the vanilla ice cream that came with it. However, the truffle fries and the apple dessert were delicious.”

“I went to this location for a Company Function and I all I can say is, it did not disappoint. The Mansion itself was something to marvel. We had an all you can eat buffet for dinner and desserts. Their Dining Gallery is huge! Over a dozen different teams were there from across the tri-state area. It was a great experience and I would love to go there again.”
