It was OK. I was expecting it to be fantastic. The food was OK but my husband's order was not as he had requested it. The server was very nice but didn't bring the requested coffee or napkins. We pass it daily and haven't tried it before but friends wanted to try it out. I doubt we'll be going back.
Smaller menu than many diners but not in a bad way. More focused and everything is a bit higher quality than standard diner fare. I've had breakfast (lemon ricotta pancakes) and lunch (burger) and both were great. The whipped cream on the pancakes appeared freshly made rather than canned, and the coffee is great .
Went here for dinner and the food was excellent. The short ribs and lamb special was on point. I am glad to have a new concept finer diner in the neighborhood. You can definitely see this is a Tom Schaudel restaurant. Will definitely be back.
This is not a typical diner. We’ve got boatloads of those places with their telephone book menus and over processed foods. It’s 3 weeks in and I hope they can make it work. Went here for dinner. They have beer and wine. Calamari app was fried fresh to order and very generous for two people to share. Homemade marinara sauce. Nice chunks of fresh garlic throughout. Lobster bisque also made on the premises. Creamy big bowl of yum! Dinner salad was fresh greens, sweet cherry tomatoes and shaved carrots. Meatloaf was good home style loaf with real mashed potatoes and freshly made beef gravy with little bits of mushrooms in it. Korean BBQ ribs were tender and smoky. I’m glad they have a chef and not just a cook. Good luck!
Grand opening was earlier in the week. They're still trying to pull it together. I gave them the benefit I'd a doubt with 4 stars. It's more like 3+ stars. Good, but not spectacular. Menu very limited. They don't serve breakfast at all.
Dinner salads are very small. My partner did not like the sauce with spaghetti and meatballs. I had the basil crusted cod. It's not black olives, it's Calamata olives. But it was tasty, fresh, not fishy. Portions adequately sized. Not typical huge diner portions.
We' got a bonus 20% off. Not sure why. Grand opening maybe?
